Stand Up Paddle Boarding (SUP) is currently the fastest growing water sport, born out of surfing with its roots in Hawaii, it is a sport for all generations.
Paddleboards are more buoyant than surfboards, and can be solid or inflatable allowing a wide range of styles and purposes.
Paddleboarders stand on a board and use a paddle to move themselves through the water. Beginners may start by sitting, or kneeling before progressing to standing.
Paddleboarding is a lovely way to experience nature. It is environmentally friendly, low impact on the environment, allowing you to be an observer of nature in a form of slow adventure ,and can be as relaxing or challenging as you desire.
We are blessed with many beautiful lakes and the Royal Canal here in Westmeath. We can nearly always find a sheltered spot to paddle on. Our Mobile trailer can bring all the equipment to you if you have a special secret lough or location in mind for a celebration or special day out
We provide the SUP, Paddles, wetsuit, wetsuit socks or gloves and buoyancy aid to keep you warm and safe. If you prefer to use your own equipment you are welcome to do so.
We also suggest that you check the local weather forecast before hand and dress accordingly .
Remember to bring some water, a towel or beach robe and a change of warm clothes
If its wet and you feel the cold a light windproof/ waterproof jacket and woolly hat can be worn over the wetsuit to add extra warmth.
On sunnier summer days remember the sun cream and a sun hat - go for waterproof cream and apply an hour before so that it soaks in well- can cause you to slip on the board of its not well absorbed.

We combine Yoga and SUP to create a beautifully flowing and connected experience on water. Led by our ASI qualified SUP Yoga Teacher , on our Yoga Specific Paddle Boards- especially designed to support your Yoga Practice. Our Yoga boards are connected to our Yoga Docking Station- a floating Yoga studio. From here your board becomes your mat and keep our practice low and slow at first to build up our core strength and balance. Over time we introduce the use of the paddle and make our way up to more challenging standing poses.
SUP Yoga takes place in waist depth water , so is perfect if you are not a confident swimmer, as your feet can always touch the group
Our 4 week programme will build up your confidence , balance and strength enabling you to progress to more challenging Yoga poses. SUP Yoga also helps you general SUP practice as you develop a strong connection between your balance and the board, helping build a more confident stable state.
As calming or a challenging as you like- take some time to slow down and connect with yourself and nature- our SUP Yoga classes are offered as stand alone classes, a block , or as part of a unique combined wellness experience-
